Scanning Instructions
Our orthotics are unlike anything you have experienced in the past, thanks to our patented technology that prescribes the appropriate custom orthotic based on the location of pain and presenting condition.
The process starts by downloading our app with a quick virtual consultation. This will allow you to highlight the areas of concern and help us to establish your individualised orthotic script.
Our app then turns your Apple product (iPhone from Model X up and next-generation iPad with facial recognition technology), into a high resolution 3D Scanner, ensuring every detail of your unique foot is captured all from the comfort of your own home.
The utilisation of industry-leading Multi Jet Fusion 3d Printers allows us the ability to design and produce a condition-specific, fully-customised orthotic device without the need to see a physical podiatrist.
STEP 1 - INSTALL OUR FREE APP:
Please note, the scanning software:
- must be downloaded on an Apple iPhone X or newer or iPad with facial recognition technology
- utilises your phone’s forward-facing camera and TOF scanner (used for facial recognition process)
STEP 2 - 3D SCANNING:
As you proceed through your virtual consultation and process your payment, you will be prompted to “click to start scan”. Using the forward-facing camera, scan both feet. The scans will be sent to our qualified podiatrists right here in Australia to ensure the best fit and results from your custom orthotics.
TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS:
- If you're doing the scans by yourself, cross one leg over the other and try to keep your feet and toes as neutral and still as possible.
- If you have someone to help you (recommended), place your knee on a chair and get your helper to scan your feet whilst keeping them as neutral and still as possible.
- Before scanning, adjust the distance of your phone from the target foot until you see it turn green on the screen. This is the recommended distance for optimal scanning. Press the scan button once you see this.
- Keeping the phone at the recommended distance, rotate it around the target foot from side to side, up and down and top to bottom. This will ensure a comprehensive scan.
- Once you have captured the entire foot, press the scan button again and review the result. You can drag the foot around to check if you have missed any sections. If so, repeat the scan until you're happy with it.
